I can’t believe that it’s been almost 3 years since I started in my real estate investing career.  And some of you have been reading this blog ever since then!  I guess I need to change the title of this blog – 3 years, I guess I’m no longer a newbie. Thanks so much for hanging in there with me.

Sometimes we hit an obstacle and lose our momentum.  I’ve seen a lot of people allow themselves to get distracted by other priorities in life, or try to get a deal and feel defeated when it doesn’t work.  If this is you I speak to, don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed.  You are in the majority.

I encourage everyone to examine where they are in their path to real estate successes.  Think about what was that one thing, that event or experience that may have caused you to slow down. I encourage you to acknowledge what happened and pinpoint how, if you had it to do all over again, how would it be different?  When you have that answer, then that mistake is no longer a mistake, but a lesson learned.  Hold that lesson learned close to your heart, and share it with others.

George Bernard Shaw is quoted “My reputation grows with every failure“.  I can really  identify with that quote, as I share as I learn.  It’s not his failure that increased his reputation, it’s the sharing of the lessons he learned that increased his reputation.  Therefore, please share what you’ve learned with others.
